Luscombe joined the RN in 1930. By September 1939 he was Leading Tel on Manchester sweltering in Aden. Essentially an account of his life on Manchester until just before her sinking in 1942. She had an active war and served in the thick of the action in most theatres. Has a lot of information on the mechanics of signalling. |
