A biography of his father. He was a major figure who lived through two world wars. Roughly half the book covers his service in WW2, notably aboard Nelson in the Mediterranean and where he saved the lives of Vian and Syfret before becoming the first ever Fleet Surgeon of the Royal Navy. A well told tale of a colourful character.
